I wrapped up Dr. Jordan Smoller's book, The Other Side or Normal. I thought it had some fascinating observations, and it dovedailed very nicely with the other neuroscience books I've read so far. Here's a Youtube video where he presents his own overview of the book. A key point is that many mental disorders can be seen as statistical "outliers" of a range of neurotypical (normal) brain functions.
