The indoor pool at the Hearst Castle showcases one million one-inch Murano tiles, blue and gold -- with the gold being real gold leaf. It features an intricately mosaicked diving platform and a “wading pool” or grotto area, where, according to lore, Errol Flynn boasted “he made many new friends.” The pool is an astounding space to experience with its opulent floor-to-ceiling windows and statues.
