I finally scored a copy of the October 1964 Genii Magazine "Steranko's World Of Escapes."
Ha, ha, ha, ha! Now, no restraint can hold me!
Jim Steranko was a magician prior to becoming a famous artist for Marvel Comics (Captain America, Nick Fury, Hulk). This book caused a sensation in the magic world when released in 1964: Steranko's World of Escapes (part of Genii Magazine). 47 pages written, designed, and illustrated by Steranko. Yes, it's true that Steranko influenced Jack Kirby to create Mister Miracle. Referred to by Michael Chabon in interviews about The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, and mentioned in the Steranko issue of Comic Book Marketplace, this magazine is highly desirable and rarely seen. This is the ultimate Steranko publication.
